Currently it stands as a percentage but for eg our constitution states a number. I could convert that to a percentage, but as the number of our board members fluctuates (our constitution allows for a board of 6-8 members) and the percentage would have to be changed as new boards are appointed. That is obviously very doable, but could be an option to have the option of a percentage or a number set in the quorum setttings.
Absolutely!
I have never seen a Constitution express a quorum as a percentage. The number required for a quorum stays the same regardless of how many directors there are. But expressing it as a percentage means you have to remember to go in and change it each time there is a change in the number of directors. It's an unnecessary extra step.
