Transfer actions between meetings

Sometimes, you need to shift action points between meetings so that they belong to the right person. BoardPro doesn't allow for this currently. You have to delete and create actions again... AND raise those actions inside a board meeting.

This relates to the need to create actions between board meetings in BoardPro. My clients want all actions loaded into BoardPro whether they were raised in a board meeting or not.

It would be useful to be able to transfer an Action from one committee to another. Same person can be responsible.

Ah, I see what you are talking about - assigning an action to someone in a related organisation/committee.

Yes, that would be a good feature and one we will include when we develop integrated committees.

In the meantime, to work around this, you can add the person to the board/committee they need to do a task for, without sending them an invitation, and then they can be assigned actions.

    Thanks, Kim.

Unfortunately, changing the owner of an action doesn't work if that person isn't in those board/committee meeting groups, e.g. an H&S task needs to move from Gemma the GM in the board meeting, to Harry the HR Manager in the H&S Committee meeting. Harry isn't in board meetings.

As for your last two paragraphs, it would be interesting to see how wide the appeal is for what I'm suggesting. Perhaps you could include it in your next product improvement survey?

    Cheers
    Geoff

    Hi Geoff,

An administrator can change the owner of an Action at any time via the Action Item List page.

Board actions cannot be generated at any time, as they are collective requests from the board, and flow from meetings.

The Actions are not a general task list, but I would be curious to see if there is interest from others for a management level general task list for board activities from other BoardPro customers.

    Thanks

    Kim
